The Puppy and The Kitten

Puppy and Kitten had the same owner. When the owner was out, Puppy always wanted to play.

Occasionally, Kitten would play, but at other times, Kitten felt it was more important to look around the house and find were items were.

“How silly not to have fun every moment you can,” harrumphed Puppy. “If ever you should need anything, Owner will give it to you.”

One day, owner who was involved in an accident, didn’t come home. Kitten was able to find food for itself. Puppy had nothing and soon found itself starving.

When owner finally returned home from the hospital, he found kitten meowing contentedly. He was shocked to see Puppy that was nothing more than skin and bone. It even didn’t have energy to wag its tail.

Sadly, once owner had nursed it back to health, Puppy no longer knew how to have fun. He was too busy having enough food, all the time.
