The Barelang Bridge (Jembatan Barelang) is a chain of 6 bridges of various types that connect the islands of Batam, Rempang, and Galang (Indonesia). Barelang also refers to the islands themselves, which are all administratively part of the municipality of Batam. The smaller islands of Tonton, Nipah, and Setokok (considered parts of the Batam island group) connect Batam and Rempang. The entire Barelang region covers 715 km².
Some locals call the bridge Jembatan Habibie after Dr. Jusuf Habibie, who oversaw the project in construction, aiming to transform the Rempang and Galang islands into industrial sites (resembling present-day Batam).
The concept design for the 6 bridges was proposed by Bruce Ramsay of VSL. Dr. Habibie had requested that the designs should be based on a variation of different structural bridge types, in order to introduce & develop new bridge design & building technologies for the Indonesian market. Overtime the bridge sites have grown more into a tourist attraction rather than a transportation route
The full stretch of all 6 bridges total to 2 kilometers. Travelling from the first bridge to the last is about 50km and takes about 50 minutes. Construction of the bridges started in 1992 and took names from fifteenth to eighteenth-century rulers of the Riau Sultanate

Once there lived a king cobra in a small hole. When he was small he ate little creatures. As he grew up he began to eat eggs, lizards, frogs and rabbits. And when he grew up further he started to eat even other smaller snakes. His pride grew with him.
All small animals began to fear the king cobra. This boosted up his pride. He began to think "Now I am the most powerful creature. I am the king of the forest. All animals fear me. Let me move from this small hole to a bigger place".
He searched for a place to suit his size and status. Finally he came across a big tree. He selected the tree for his house. He saw an ant hill near the tree.
He thought "Why should there be an ugly ant hill near my royal house?" He hissed aloud "I am king Cobra, the king of the forest. I order the ants to vacate immediately". There was no reply. He got wild and struck at the ant hill.

COUNT ON ME
Bruno Mars
If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea
I'll sail the world to find you
If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
I'll be the light to guide you
Find out what we're made of
When we are called to help our friends in need
You can count on me like 1, 2, 3
I'll be there
And I know when I need it
I can count on you like 4, 3, 2
And you'll be there
'cause that's what friends are supposed to do oh yeah
ooooooh, oooohhh yeah yeah
If you're tossin' and you're turnin
and you just can't fall asleep
I'll sing a song beside you
And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me
Every day I will remind you
You'll always have my shoulder when you cry
I'll never let go
Never say goodbye
You can count on me 'cause I can count on you

I have got an unforgettable experience last Lebaran Day. My family and I went to my mother’s hometown to celebrate “Idul Fitri”. We went by aeroplane. At the airport, my family and I had to walk through the metal detector. When I got the turn to walk through it, suddenly the alarm beeped. The woman who worked as the airport security said, “Come here, you need to get your belt off”. I took my belt off, but the alarm still beeped. The security asked me to take my wallet from my pocket. I did what she ordered. Still alarm beeped.
After that the security asked me to turn back and she checked my body. She touched my left pocket. Then she told me, “There was something in it. it might be the things that made the alarm beeped”. A hurricane is a violent tropical storm with sustained winds of at least 74 mph. It forms over warm ocean waters. Warm and moist air moves towards the center of the storms and spirals upward. This releases torrential rains. As updrafts suck up more water vapor, it triggers a cycle of strengthening. This cycle can be stopped only one contact is made with land or cooler water.
The whole hurricane can be described as a giant wheel lying on its side. The hurricane spins and moves across the Earth’s surface at a speed of between 15 and 30 km/hour. When a hurricane approaches, the wind rises swiftly, sometimes reaching speeds of 160 km/hour or more. Wind blows inward towards an area of low pressure, by travelling in a spiral due to the Earth’s rotation. When the hurricane strikes, houses maybe blown down, trees uprooted, crops damaged, and widespread flooding may also occur.
Hurricane is known by different name in other parts of the world. In the bay of Bengal and the Arabian sea, they are called cyclones. While for those in Japan, the Philippines, and the coast of China, hurricanes are called typhoons
