Recount Text : Pengertian, Tujuan, Struktur Teks, Ciri Kebahasaan dan Contohnya

Untuk materi Bahasa Inggris minggu  ini kita akan mempelajari  tentang Recount text. Mohon dipelajari materi dan contoh recount berikut ini ya!

1. Pengertian

Recount Text  adalah jenis teks yang digunakan untuk menceritakan  peristiwa/kejadian/event yang terjadi di masa lalu seperti pengalaman,  kisah hidup seseorang dan sebagainya

2. Tujuan Komunikatif

Tujuan recount text adalah untuk menceritakan pengalaman, kejadian dan peristiwa yang telah terjadi dimasa yang lalu. (Retell about activities, event that happened in the past time)

3. Struktur Teks

a. Orientation 

Orientation merupakan pengenalan peristiwa berupa latar, tokoh yang terlibat dalam peristiwa/kejadian tersebut (memberikan informasi tentang apa, siapa, dimana dan kapan)

b. Events

Event merupakan kronologis kejadian/kegiatan yang terjadi yang disampaikan secara berurutan.

c. Reorientation

Reorientation merupakan bagian pengulangan pengenalan yang ada dalam orientation dan pengulangan tentang rangkuman peristiwa/kejadian yang diceritakan.

4. Ciri Kebahasaan

1. Menggunakan kalimat dalam bentuk Past Tense

    Contoh : We went to the zoo yesterday, we were excited, etc

2. Menggunakan action verb, seperti : wrote, played, brought, spent, etc

3.Menggunakan adverb and adverbial phrase untuk menyatakan waktu, tempat dan cara

   Misalnya : yesterday, at school, carefully, etc

4. Conjuction dan time connectives yang mengurutkan peristiwa, kejadian atau kegiatan, seperti ; then, after that, then, before, and, but, etc

5. Adjectives untuk menerangkan nouns, seperti ; smart, happy, tired, funny, boring, etc

My Holiday in Australia

Last Sunday, I had a holiday in Australia. I visited a marine park called Sea World, which is as surfers Paradise near Brisbane. It is Australia’s largest marine park. Truly, I had a wonderful day there

The first thing I saw was the Oceanarium. It is place where visitors can watch all kinds of fish and animals underwater. There were huge turtles, sharks and beautiful tropical fish. The most exciting thing was watching a man feeding the sharks. He wore a special diving suit.

Then, I watched the performing animals. The show was in a big outdoor swimming pool. There were killer whales, dolphins and sea lions, and they did all kinds of fantastic things in the water. One of the girls in the show rode about the pool on the back of a big turtle. 

After the show, I had lunch. There were several big restaurants at the park and I had lunch in a restaurant that was shaped like a ship! Then, I watched a wonderful water-ski show which was held on a lake.

There were lots of things to do at the park. There was lake cruising, a train ride, a big water slide, swimming pools and an incredible roller coaster called the corkscrew because it goes through three lops upside down. But I didn’t go on the roller coaster. I wish I could do it next time.
